Kristaps Porzingis arrived at the Golden State Warriors facility Tuesday and met General Manager Mike Dunleavy and Vice President of Player Health & Performance Rick Celebrini, the franchise confirmed in a press release.
However, their discussion and meeting will remain private, as the Latvian star will remain out indefinitely with his undisclosed illness as he joins the team.
Kristaps Porzingis still out with mysterious illness for Warriors
Steve Kerr already announced before the Golden State Warriors' Tuesday preseason win against the Los Angeles Lakers that Kristaps Porzingis has arrived in the Bay Area to join the franchise, but he remained mum on giving any update on the big man.
Porzingis integrating himself into the Warriors is a key development. But still, his availability and health create significant uncertainty for the franchise with less than a week left before the 2026-27 regular season opener.
Dealing with a mysterious illness, Porzingis has missed all of the Warriors' preseason games so far and is set to be out for the team's exhibition finale on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The European center previously revealed that he had been diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) during his time with the Boston Celtics, but Golden State has not confirmed whether his current absence is connected to that condition.
Porzingis joined the Warriors in a February 2025-26 trade that sent Jonathan Kuminga to the Atlanta Hawks.
He appeared in only 15 games for the Warriors and 32 overall last season, averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks before signing a two-year, $40 million deal with Golden State this past offseason.
