Brandon Ingram Injury: Clippers give new positive recovery update

Brandon Ingram has taken a significant step forward in his Achilles and heel injury recovery for the Los Angeles Clippers.

LA announced Wednesday that Ingram has progressed to on-court work, along with teammate Yanic Konan Niederhauser, who is working his way back as well from a Lisfranc injury.

While Ingram and Niederhauser will miss the team's opening night next Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings, the Clippers are optimistic about their direction, per team reporter Joey Linn.

Brandon Ingram progressed to on-court work for the Clippers

Brandon Ingram had surgery to fix his right heel issues last May. However, the procedure also included a repair of his partially torn right Achilles tendon on his foot.

While Ty Lue recently gave a concerning update, this latest on-court development should give the Clippers plenty of hope about Ingram's recovery.

Ingram was acquired by the Clippers from the Toronto Raptors as part of the blockbuster Kawhi Leonard trade.

He averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 77 games while shooting 47.7% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range to lead the Raptors' 46-win season, securing his second All-Star honors.
