Liverpool hammered LASK in the Champions League on Wednesday, with summer signing Bradley Barcola netting a hat-trick. But more transfers might well be required in the January window.
Andoni Iraola's side still looks light in a couple of key areas, and Liverpool could dip into the market mid-season to bolster its ranks. New sporting director Julian Ward could be eyeing a variety of upgrades, with more depth and bodies a must in 2027.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today. We start with an England star who was sporadically linked during the summer.

Alex Scott (Bournemouth)
Bournemouth is willing to cash in on Alex Scott in January for a fee of around $130 million (£100 million) after talks with the England midfielder's representatives.
That is according to the BBC, which reports that the Cherries have performed a U-turn on their summer stance that the 23-year-old was not going anywhere.
Liverpool has struggled to control matches so far this term, and adding another midfielder to its ranks could help, though Chelsea appears to be a stronger contender for Scott.

During the summer, Xabi Alonso's side saw at least one transfer bid for Scott turned down. Chelsea was keen to bring him in and could reignite that interest in the next window.
Liverpool.com says: Scott is clearly a big talent, but a top-performing Ryan Gravenberch is a similar style and at least as good. There is also Trey Nyoni to think about.
The Reds need more depth in a few areas, but a central midfielder, even after the departure of Curtis Jones, is not necessarily a huge priority, especially for the asking price.
Gilberto Mora (Club Tijuana)
Liverpool is among a number of European sides ready to 'step up' their interest in the Mexico wonderkid Gilberto Mora ahead of the January window opening, according to TeamTalk.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is under contract until 2029 but has also been linked with Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, and might well be on the move sooner rather than later.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, and others have also been touted as possible destinations for Mora, who starred for his country at the World Cup.
Liverpool.com says: Spending $40 million (£30 million) or so on an 18-year-old would be a change of approach from the Reds, but Mora is clearly talented. It isn't a priority position, but it could save money in the long run if he fulfills his potential.
