There has also been another potentially key new development over Julian Alvarez, while Arsenal have been boosted in the race for Antonio Nusa.

Lisandro Martinez could leave Manchester United after his remarkable outburst that followed the Champions League defeat by Atletico Madrid, while JJ Gabriel is said to want to join Real Madrid. Arsenal eye shock Bazoumana Toure move

The Ivory Coast winger only joined Newcastle from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in a £42m transfer over the summer, but has already caught the eye of a number of Premier League rivals.

CaughtOffside claim that Arsenal and Manchester United are both closely monitoring the progress of Toure, having already been watching him before he made the switch to St James’ Park in July.

Tottenham and Aston Villa are also credited with an interest in the 20-year-old, who is under contract on Tyneside until 2031.

Martinez Man Utd future in doubt

Lisandro Martinez's Manchester United future has been called into question following his extraordinary criticism of the club.

According to Sky Sports, and there are real doubts about whether the Argentine defender's contract will be extended when it expires in the summer.

United are expected to focus on revamping their defence in the next transfer windows and have the formal option to prolong Martinez's stay for a further year.

West Ham star targets Premier League return as bumper new deal agreed

Tomas Soucek has promised to help get West Ham back to the Premier League after signing a new contract with the club.

Soucek, who helped West Ham lift the Conference League in 2023, was entering the final year of his deal but has now signed fresh terms until the summer of 2028.

The Czech Republic international has been an integral part of West Ham’s squad since signing from Slavia Prague in 2020, making 285 appearances and scoring 47 goals.

He publicly expressed his desire to end his career at West Ham and has now extended his contract past his 33rd birthday.

Chelsea handed Scott boost

Bournemouth have changed their stance and are now open to selling Chelsea target Alex Scott in January, writes Dom Smith.

Standard Sport understands that Bournemouth are open to selling their prized midfielder in the January transfer window if an offer of more than £100million comes in. Bournemouth sources say a sale will only happen in January if Premier League survival is looking likely.

Tottenham set for Solomon talks

Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer in July 2023 after a FIFA ruling allowed foreign players at clubs in Russia and Ukraine to suspend their contracts immediately following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

At the time, Shakhtar threatened legal action, believing Solomon had a market value of around €20million (£16.9m), and they are now set to reignite those discussions after the Israel international moved to West Ham this summer for an initial £5m fee.

Arsenal get free run at Kenan Yildiz signing

The Gunners are believed to be long-term admirers of the Juventus and Turkey winger, around whom there was more transfer speculation late in the summer window before he needed surgery on a foot fracture.

Links to Arsenal - as well as Real Madrid - have persisted since then, with Bayern Munich also said to be interested in a big-money swoop for Yildiz.

However, BILD in Germany now claim that Bayern will not compete for his signature if other clubs come in with huge offers.

Real Madrid look potentially set to loan out the young Brazilian forward again in January, amid a lack of opportunities under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu so far this term and following his productive stint at Lyon during the second half of last season.

Tottenham were mentioned as a potential shock destination for Endrick over the weekend, though Football Insider now claim that Aston Villa are plotting their own move once the transfer window reopens for business.
