The January transfer window is still over two months away, but Arsenal have been linked with moves to sign several players already.
The Gunners left themselves short in attack in the summer. Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus were all sold, and Christos Tzolis was the only attacker who was brought in.
Arsenal did, however, try to sign players like Vinicius Jr and Julian Alvarez. Even though they didn’t get either player, it shows their intent to strengthen their attack.
That is why several players have been linked ahead of the January transfer window. One of the most exciting names reported to be on Arsenal’s list is Endrick of Real Madrid.
However, that looks extremely unlikely now.
Jose Mourinho rules out January move for Arsenal target Endrick
Endrick has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a long time.
The Brazilian is viewed as one of the best young talents in the world, and he has shown that he is capable of delivering the goods at the highest level.
However, until Wednesday night, Endrick had played just four minutes of football for Real Madrid this season. That led to a lot of speculation about his future.
But against Roma in the Champions League last night, Endrick came on in the second half, scored a goal and provided an assist in 31 minutes to help turn the game around for the Galacticos.
Jose Mourinho was beyond delighted with the youngster, so much so that he ruled out a January move away from the club on loan.
“Mark my words again, it is impossible for Endrick to be loaned out,” the Special One said, as per Fabrizio Romano on X.
This was Mourinho’s stance even before his brilliant cameo against Roma. He said earlier this week: “The clubs interested in Endrick will have to fight with me to sign him. I adore Endrick. He has top potential and is very important for us.”
Arsenal will have to look elsewhere in order to strengthen their attack. If it were up to us, we would prioritise signing a new left-winger over a striker in January, as the Gunners can’t go into the business end of the season with just Tzolis as their natural option in that position.
