Celtics Legend Sends 10-Word Warning About Neemias Queta image
Maybe we should expect another leap from Neemias Queta this season.
The Boston Celtics center threw down a big dunk in Wednesday's preseason win over the Charlotte Hornets. Not only did former Celtics star Isaiah Thomas share the highlight on X, but he also included a message.
"Worked with him this summer and man he’s gotten better," Thomas tweeted.

It's not a huge surprise that Thomas spent time in the gym with Queta in the offseason.
In addition to being a Celtics legend, Thomas was hired by the franchise in 2026 as a pro and college scout. He's been spotted at Boston's practice facility since joining the organization while based in Seattle.
Queta is entering his fourth season with the Celtics. After struggling to get consistent minutes in his first two seasons in Boston, he broke out in 2025-26, averaging 10.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 65.3 percent from the field. He started 75 of his 76 games.
The Celtics have some Queta insurance after signing Mitchell Robinson in the offseason. Still, Thomas' endorsement is another reason for Joe Mazzulla and his staff to believe the 27-year-old can take another step forward.
