Liverpool and Everton are two of English football’s greatest rivals, nobody needs any reminder about that.
Merseyside is very much split in two halves – blue and red, and unlike certain other rivalries in football, this is a split that can divide not only the city, but families and communities within the city.
Everton fans and Liverpool fans may not always like one another, but they can’t avoid each other, and often times, those divides make for some interesting dynamics.
Tony Bellew is one of the most famous Evertonians in the public eye today, but, interestingly, he’s got a very close bond with one Liverpool player, Jayden Danns.
Danns and Bellew are close due to Bellew’s friendship with Jayden’s Dad, Neill – who has been Tony’s best friend since the age of 11.
Bellew has backed Jayden for a big future, and, interestingly, he’s claimed that he’s told him he should be at Everton instead.
Tony Bellew keeps telling Jayden Danns to join Everton
Bellew spoke about Danns after he returned to the Liverpool bench this week.
The former boxer tipped the youngster for big things, and noted that he often tells the attacker he wishes
“Yeah, I was watching because the baby was on the bench, he’s now in and amongst the first team, Jayden Danns is back.
“Trust me, you are going to see soon enough, he will be among it, the speed and pace.
“He’s going to leave a few for dead. I can’t wait to watch him, I just wish it was a blue shirt as I keep telling him, but I will be supporting him in a red shirt.”
What’s your honest position on Thierno Barry at the moment? 10 big chances missed in the PL, but six goals across all competitions. It's fair to say he divides opinion at Everton, but Dewsbury-Hall is a fan…👀

Yet to be convinced by him. Hes doing alright but still very wasteful. Id love to see a more experienced striker to help him even if it was someone like Big Dunc brought in to help with his training.
Yeah he’s well on course to smash last season’s numbers. Lots to like, just needs that conviction and consistency doesn’t he
He will smash kastvyears stats and moving forward will improve…..they all miss chances
Sadly for Everton fans, it does sound like Liverpool have a jewel on their hands here, but, who knows? Maybe one day if it doesn’t work out for Danns at Anfield, Bellew will convince him to make a move to the Hill Dickinson stadium instead.
Everton certainly need a striker after the Folarin Balogun fiasco on deadline day, and with Liverpool having so much attacking talent stocked up, maybe, just maybe, Danns could become available at some point.
