Gill Clark Gill Clark is the site manager of Barca Blaugranes and joined in 2017. She has worked in sports media as a writer and editor for the best part of two decades and has been in love with the beautiful game for as long as she can remember.
Alejandro Balde’s lack of minutes so far this season for Barcelona has the left-back starting to think about a January exit from Camp Nou, according to Diario Sport.
The left-back was linked with a move away during the summer but stayed at Barca and was told by Hansi Flick that he needed to improve and be 100% committed.
Yet Balde has barely had a look-in this season and has seen Xavi Espart and Joao Cancelo battle for the left-back spot ahead of him.
The 22-year-old’s only game time came in the 7-2 win over Racing when he was handed the last 12 minutes of an emphatic win.
The report says that Balde has already spoken with his agent Jorge Mendes and a January exit is definitely on his mind as we head towards the winter window.
Barcelona were open to a sale in the summer and that stance reportedly hasn’t changed. Manchester United are once again being touted as a potential destination due to a shortage of left-backs at Old Trafford.
