Liverpool will hope to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when Andoni Iraola and company pay a visit to Brentford on Saturday morning.

Entering Matchweek 7 of the Premier League season, Brentford sit fourth in the table on 10 points, five places and one point ahead of Liverpool.

It is no secret that Saturday’s trip to the Gtech Community Stadium will prove one of the Reds’ toughest tests of the season, an untimely fixture for Iraola after last weekend’s 3-0 drubbing at home against Manchester City.

Liverpool enter the game as slight underdogs to take home three points, perhaps a fair price given the Bees’ scintillating home form that includes 3-0 wins over Tottenham and Chelsea already this campaign.

Ahead of kick-off, we asked Google Gemini to predict Brentford vs. Liverpool, including the final score and goalscorers in the game.

With Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo doubts to feature for the visitors, Iraola will be forced to rely on the same frontline he did at home against Manchester City and in the 6-3 victory over LASK in the Champions League midweek.

Unlike in the nine-goal show in Austria, hat-trick hero Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz, and Lewis Koumas will find life far more difficult against a well-drilled Brentford side that has conceded just once in three home matches this season.

With leading scorer Kevin Schade set to miss out with a shoulder injury, Brentford manager Keith Andrews will insert Jaidon Anthony into the starting lineup, and the former Burnley, Bournemouth, and Leeds United winger will be the one to open the scoring in front of his home fans in the 22nd minute.

Striker Igor Thiago’s hold-up play allows Anthony to streak down the right flank, where Thiago will play him in behind the Liverpool defense and set up a calm finish past Alisson.

Following Anthony’s opener, the Bees dominate the ball and press for a second, but Iraola’s side resists, and heads into the halftime break down 1-0.

The Reds threaten Brentford’s goal to open the second half through Barcola and Koumas, who each fire efforts on target that don’t concern ex-Reds goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher too much.

Another spell of pressure finally results in a goal for the visitors through Alexis Mac Allister, who finds himself free at the top of the penalty area and sees his strike on goal deflect off a Bees defender and into the net in the 61st minute.

With all to play for in the final half-hour, both teams create chances before the home team takes control and makes life difficult for the visitors.

Thiago and Keane Lewis-Potter come close to finding the back of the net in the final 10 minutes, but the Reds’ solidity at the back fends off further chances and helps safely see out a well-earned point in west London.

Gemini’s final score prediction: Brentford 1-1 Liverpool

Gemini’s goalscorer predictions: Jaidon Anthony (22’), Alexis Mac Allister (61’)
