Carmelo Anthony calls out Pablo Torre for his plans to investigate LeBron James' free helicopter services in the Philadelphia 76ers.
Carmelo Anthony did not hold back on Pablo Torre's plans to investigate LeBron James' free helicopter service in the Philadelphia 76ers.
The retired NBA star called out Torre and urged him to name the exact owners who influenced him to look at James' helicopter perks.
"To me, then, y’all n****s are taking that serious, too," Anthony said in his 7 PM in Brooklyn podcast. "I’m taking a chopper and getting from New York to Philly at 6:00, 6:30 in the morning. You n****s ain’t even up yet.
"So, Pablo, why the f**k you talking about? You're snitching a**. The owners are snitching. ... And I can say you are in cahoots because you are getting compensated for going to get these stories. So, I can flip it on you, Pablo. You just snitched on yourself.
"The owners are saying, so if it comes down to it, you know what they’re going to say? So, which owners? You’re subpoenaed to tell us which owners. So, you got to take the stand and tell us which owners."
Pablo Torre reveals LeBron James helicopter investigation plans
Pablo Torre recently announced in Front Office Sports' "Tuned In" summit that he is looking into LeBron James' helicopter travel and privileges in the Philadelphia 76ers.
According to the award-winning investigative journalist, NBA owners have reached out to him about James flying in a Fanatics helicopter.
James travels by helicopter at no cost between his Manhattan home and Philadelphia, where he attends practices and plays games with the 76ers.
This is reportedly a key part of his long-term partnership with Fanatics.
Carmelo Anthony urges Pablo Torre to expose NBA owners amid LeBron James' helicopter investigation
While he made it clear he respects Pablo Torre's dedication to journalism, especially his groundbreaking LA Clippers' salary-cap circumventing revelation, Carmelo Anthony believes that the renowned journalist has to expose the owners who called him about LeBron James' helicopter perks.
“Don’t do that. Say, ‘The owner of the Charlotte Hornets and the owners of the New York Knicks are wondering X, Y, Z about LeBron’s transportation.' F**k all that journalism s**t. I respect the journalism, but if we going to keep it a buck, keep it a buck," Anthony added. "Tell us who the owners are. Because if we were saying, as a player, we’re saying something about the owners, that owner would find out who the f**k was saying that s**t. And we would be in a situation where we could be f***ed up.
“You got what you got. And I don’t want you to stop being a journalist. I don’t want you to, because you do great journalism, and I respect you as a journalist. The Clippers s**t, cool. ... You won an award with it. You won a Peabody with that. Now, you’re coming over here to this side of it. This ain’t got nothing to do with nothing.”
