Knicks in trade talks with multiple teams

The New York Knicks are actively exploring trade possibilities involving forward Pacome Dadiet and have already held discussions with multiple teams, according to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel.

New York is facing a roster and financial squeeze ahead of the 2026-27 regular season.

The Knicks are expected to keep former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman as their 14th roster player, while they would also like to retain veteran guard Bruce Brown.

However, their proximity to the second apron currently leaves room for only one of them without another move.

Moving Dadiet could provide the Knicks with enough flexibility to keep both players rather than having to choose between them.

Dadiet, the No. 25 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, appeared in 29 games for the Knicks last season, averaging 1.7 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 4.7 minutes.

Knicks have spoken with at least two teams about Dadiet

Siegel said New York is no longer merely gauging Dadiet's value and has advanced to active discussions with potential suitors.

"We've been told here at ClutchPoints, we reported on it a little bit ago, that they are actively looking at trade avenues involving Pacome Dadiet," Siegel said on the Clutch Scoops podcast. "He has not really found a role with the Knicks at this point. He's going to be an end-of-the-bench guy, just be thrown in for garbage time."

"And so, would the Knicks rather have him, or would they have Bruce Brown, a guy that could step up at times when guys are out of the lineup, could deliver 10, 15, 20 minutes at any time, any game?" Siegel continued. "And so, that's what they're looking at right now. They're just kind of exploring trade avenues."

The NBA insider then revealed that discussions have already taken place with more than one team.

"There's nothing finalized yet. They've been in talks with at least two teams from what I've been told. I'm waiting to hear back more on that," Siegel said.
