Raptors young fan favorite has promising words about Kawhi Leonard fitting in image
One of the biggest moves of the NBA offseason was the Toronto Raptors landing Kawhi Leonard, the former NBA champion. Leonard, who also won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs, faced a tough summer due to the Los Angeles Clippers situation.
However, that's behind him now, and he hopes for another successful stint in Toronto. He spent only one season with the organization at 27 in 2018-2019, winning a championship that season and finishing top 10 in Defensive Player of the Year voting, earning a second-team All-NBA nod and a second-team All-Defensive Team honor.
As for how Leonard looks now, there's reason to believe the Raptors will be one of the better teams in the NBA because of how he looks early on. Speaking to reporters, one Toronto fan favorite said that he is figuring out how to play with the team and that he's fitting right in.
“He looks good. I think he’s getting used to playing with us, and he’s getting used to all the pressure that we apply. He's fitting right in. Looks good,” said Jamal Shead, per Omer Osman.
This is a good sign that Leonard will be more than fine in Toronto and will be the player everybody expects him to be.
There were obviously a lot of problems throughout the offseason, and it could impact his play, but there's reason to believe he'll be more than fine.
