Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler is not spending much time worrying about the East rival Philadelphia 76ers' blockbuster offseason.

Asked on SiriusXM what he made of Philadelphia adding both LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, Butler made it clear that his focus remains firmly on his own team.

"I don't make nothing out of nothing. I mind my business," Butler said. "I play in San Francisco for the Golden State Warriors. So what they're doing over there is what they're doing over there.

"Good for them. I hope they're happy. Hope they can win. I hope they can compete," he added. "But I think we're gonna give them hell whenever we play against them."

James and Brown have joined a core that already includes Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe, giving head coach Nick Nurse multiple high-level scoring and playmaking options.

LeBron officially signed with Philadelphia on a two-year, $8 million contract, while Brown arrived in a trade with Boston.

Jimmy Butler gives update on recovery

Butler is still working his way back from a torn ACL in his right knee that ended his 2025-26 season.

The six-time All-Star underwent surgery in February after suffering the injury against the Miami Heat in January.

"I'm feeling great," Butler said. "Surgery went well. We've obviously been doing this rehab thing, going through that process. But all in all, I'm back moving on the floor, some running, jogging, doing all of that, the beginning steps of all that."

Butler declined to set a specific timetable for his return.

"As far as a target date goes, I wouldn't want to be a liar, so I don't tell anybody a target date," he explained. "But as soon as I can take the floor, I promise you I'm getting back out there and competing."

Butler averaged 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 38 games for Golden State last season before the severe injury.

"I miss being around the guys, in the trenches with them, fighting," Butler said. "You gotta think, I've been doing that more than half of my life now, like competing at a high level.

"And I haven't had that in a while, and I just can't wait to get back to it. I'm excited. I've been working my tail off to get back right and be better than I was, so I think I'll be ready to go."
