Milwaukee Bucks to start home opener early to avoid conflict with World Series

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Milwaukee Bucks are starting their regular season home opener earlier so Milwaukee sports fans can catch the Brewers hosting Game 1 of the World Series.

The 2026-27 home opener is still on Friday, Oct. 23, but will start at 3 p.m. instead of 7. The Bucks game will be carried on WBAY-TV subchannel 2.3.

“The Brewers’ return to the World Series for the first time in 44 years is a special moment for Milwaukee and sports fans across Wisconsin,” the Milwaukee Bucks organization said in a statement.

“Congratulations to the Brewers and the entire organization on this tremendous achievement, and we’ll be cheering them on as they begin their World Series run. The Bucks are proud to move our home opener to 3 p.m. in recognition of this historic occasion and thank the NBA for making this schedule change possible.”
