Five fixtures are on Saturday, October 17, and here is the latest team news and our picks for Everton vs Chelsea and Brentford vs Liverpool.

Premier League GW7: Saturday Predictions

Everton vs Chelsea

Everton will host Chelsea at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the 12:30 GMT KO slot.

The Toffees remain unbeaten but have drawn four league games so far, including last time out, a 2-2 draw with Hull City. Chelsea have been frustrating so far, but did look much better last time out, as they breezed past Bournemouth, winning 5-1.

In the build-up to their visit to Everton, Xabi Alonso discussed the news of Reece James’ knee surgery:

“We are all disappointed, especially for him. He wanted to have a good start after the international break, but he picked up an injury.

“The surgery has been successful. We are supporting him,” said the Chelsea boss.

During his pre-match press conference, David Moyes gave injury updates on Vitalii Mykolenko and Jarrad Branthwaite:

The Everton gaffer confirmed Mykolenko was “doing much better.”

“Jarrad had a problem. He got it really early in the game [against Hull City], so we’ve been half looking at that during the week, a little bit,” added Moyes.

Brentford vs Liverpool

Brentford will host Liverpool at the Gtech Community Stadium in a 15:00 kick-off. Brentford are unbeaten so far, winning two and drawing four of their opening six league games. Liverpool have shown flashes of what they are capable of, but it still feels like they are yet to hit top gear under Andoni Iraola.

When asked about the availability of Kevin Schade and Jannik Schuster for the weekend, Brentford boss Keith Andrews said: “we’ll have to see how much.” In a boost for the squad, Andrews confirmed he’s “fully anticipating” the returning Sepp van den Berg, Nathan Collins and Mikkel Damsgaard

Ryan Gravenberch will be missing as he serves a one-match ban this weekend, while Trey Nyoni could deputise for Dominik Szoboszlai, should he remain out. Lewis Koumas could continue in attack, with Liverpool suffering injury problems in attack as of late.
