Xabi Alonso's side travel to the Hill Dickinson after a thumping 5-1 victory over Bournemouth, as Chelsea look to build momentum after a winless September in the league.
Chelsea and Everton are level on points going into Saturday's meeting, but the Blues' recent record against the Toffees doesn't make for positive reading.
Everton have won six of their last eight home league games against Chelsea, including the 3-0 win back in March.
The two clubs have taken different approaches to the start of the campaign. Chelsea have been involved in high-scoring games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in the league so far, while Everton have scored eight goals in their first six and conceded five (eight fewer than the Blues - 13).
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tyrique George could both face their former clubs, and Everton will certainly fancy their chances given their start to the season and the record against Chelsea.
What to expect from Everton against Chelsea?
Absolute Chelsea spoke to Everton Roundtable to get the perspective from the Blues' opposition.
"Everton have enjoyed a solid start to the Premier League season. We remain unbeaten in all competitions, but four of our six games in the Premier League have ended in draws. There is always frustration surrounding David Moyes that he's a little too safe and pragmatic, but it's hard to argue too much when you're unbeaten.
"Everton are probably one of the most boring sides in the Premier League for a neutral. We don't score a lot, but we barely concede either. No side has conceded more goals than Everton, but we have only found the back of the net on eight occasions.
"The Toffees have some really exciting players in our ranks, but Moyes is very reluctant to give them too much game time. Tyrique George has shown flashes of brilliance at times this season, but even against newly promoted Hull City at the weekend, he found himself on the bench. Hayden Hackney and Tyler Dibling are similar, with both struggling to find minutes under Moyes this campaign.
"On paper, our results this season have been pretty impressive, but in reality, we haven't really played a strong side as of yet. We've played two of the promoted sides in Ipswich and Hull, while the rest of our games have been against sides in the bottom half of the Premier League. Although we sit in fifth place, we're not playing like a fifth-placed side, really.
"It's been well documented that Everton have an incredibly small squad, with just one left-back, one right-back, and one striker at the club. An injury in any of those positions is going to hit Everton hard, and we currently have a problem in one of those areas.
"Vitalii Mykolenko was unavailable against Hull, leading to Everton deploying Jarrad Branthwaite at left-back. It didn't work, with Everton all over the place at the back. Mykolenko wasn't spotted in training this week, so it could be a similar story this weekend.
"A disjointed defence is the last thing any side needs when facing Chelsea, so it's a big worry heading into the game at the weekend.
"There will be confidence that Chelsea concede a lot of chances, but Everton need a lot of chances in order to convert at the moment. I'm expecting plenty of goals, but even with Everton's recent record at home to Chelsea, it's hard to have too much confidence."
