Jaden Hardy is simply blessed and happy to be with the Los Angeles Lakers amid the possibility that the franchise might consider moving him.

The Lakers guard and offseason newcomer addressed the team's current roster crunch, dismissing any doubts and anxiety he might be dealing with about the given circumstance.

"Really, just for me, I just got me clear head, clear mind, new situation, new opportunity. So it's a blessing to be here and I'm just coming in here every day working. Can't put my head down," he told reporters Friday.

"I mean, I just got some guys in here, so literally, I'm just blessed to be here."

Jaden Hardy a candidate to be moved by Lakers

Jaden Hardy joined Los Angeles last offseason when the Lakers traded Deandre Ayton to Washington. Specifically, Los Angeles received the guard along with second-round picks in 2031 and 2032.

Hardy played 57 games between the Dallas Mavericks and Wizards last season, averaging 9.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists while shooting 39.7% from the three-point range.

He finished the season with Washington after spending his first three-plus NBA seasons in Dallas, where he was a teammate of Luka Doncic.

Despite Dalton Knecht being viewed as the Lakers’ primary trade candidate, recent reports suggest that the franchise is also considering moving Hardy.

During the Lakers' four preseason games, he averaged 9.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steal in 14.2 minutes per game, while shooting 36.7% from the field.

LA has until Monday to decide their final 15-man lineup ahead of Tuesday's new NBA season opener.
