Dylan Harper set to start for Spurs season opener vs. OKC Thunder
With veteran forward Tobias Harris sidelined because of a left calf strain, Dylan Harper has benefited the most within the San Antonio Spurs.
The sophomore guard started in all three of his preseason appearances this year, where he averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 0.7 steals in 22.0 minutes of action.
He displayed high efficiency on the court by shooting 55.6% from the field and 62.5% from beyond the arc.
The Spurs debuted their three-guard lineup of Harper, De'Aaron Fox, and Stephon Castle in their previous 123-103 preseason win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Now, San Antonio seems compelled to push through with the trio in their starting lineup.
The Spurs will look to outlast the Thunder on Tuesday at the Frost Bank Center.
