Flick was asked about Yamal at his pre-match press conference and suggested the teenager is not set for a rest any time soon.
“Lamine is a special player and I know we have to balance his minutes, but for him the most important thing is to enjoy playing football, and at the moment that’s the case and I don’t want to interrupt that situation,” he told reporters.
Barcelona are heading into a run of crucial games at home and in Europe. The Catalans played Betis on Saturday and then face PSG and Real Madrid.
Yamal will be expected to play a big role in all of those games and any potential rest will surely have to wait at least until after those matches have all been completed.
