Liverpool enjoyed some European encouragement after their 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City a week ago, by beating Austrian giants LASK in a 6-3 thriller on Wednesday. Andoni Iraola's front four discovered a certain synergy that had been missing at the start of the season. However, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo all remain doubts for the tricky trip to Brentford and Iraola will have to contend with possible rotation, and the unfortunate suspension to Ryan Gravenberch. Here, our Express Sport writers have taken a look at the team we would play at the Gtech Stadium...
It’s tough to move too far away from the team that thrashed LASK just a few days ago, especially in attack.
At least one change will be enforced, as Ryan Gravenberch is suspended, but Trey Nyoni has proven to be a suitable replacement and prevents Dominik Szoboszlai from being rushed back.
Andoni Iraola’s biggest dilemma might be at left-back, where Kostas Tsimikas captained the team in Austria and provided some excellent deliveries.
He deserves another chance and it’s not as if Milos Kerkez has been setting the world alight in recent weeks either.

Ryan Gravenberch’s suspension has thrown a spanner in the works for Andoni Iraola. Trey Nyoni is the obvious replacement in the middle of the park, while fellow academy graduate Rio Ngumoha should also be in from the off.
Jeremie Frimpong might’ve impressed in midweek, but Iraola should be going with Ronald Araujo at right-back instead.

Liverpool shouldn’t rush Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak back into the starting XI even if any of the trio return to training. They have a hectic fixture list before the November international to be wary of.
After the win over LASK, Rio Ngumoha has to start at right wing over Victor Munoz for this one. And Trey Nyoni has to make his first-ever Premier League start with Ryan Gravenberch suspended. He’s ready for it. Alexis Mac Allister comes back into the line-up alongside the teenager.
Captain Virgil van Dijk also returns which moves Ronald Araujo back to right-back to give the Reds more height at set-pieces. Milos Kerkez replaces Kostas Tsimikas at left-back. The Greek’s deliveries were impressive in midweek, especially from set-pieces, but Kerkez is superior defensively.
