That poor run of form has left Spurs in the bottom three, sitting 19th, with only Fulham worse off in the English top division this campaign.

Tottenham need to start picking up wins quickly if they are to avoid another relegation scrap like last season.

Matchweek seven does offer Roberto De Zerbi’s men the perfect opportunity for a first league victory as they take on newly promoted Coventry City.

However, a win will be far from straightforward as Frank Lampard’s side have found form, having managed consecutive wins in their last two outings.

Spurs must deliver against Coventry

This is a big match for Tottenham given the context of their season. It is far from ideal for Spurs to be sat in the bottom three after six games, especially considering the money spent in the summer.

The players and De Zerbi have had enough time to work together, and results now need to follow if Spurs are to avoid relegation.

Gary Neville has suggested he has seen enough to believe Tottenham could push for a top-six or top-eight finish, and their result against Coventry could serve as a good measure of their progress so far this season. We expect a Tottenham victory on Monday.
