Brentford vs Liverpool: Team News and Confirmed Lineups
Brentford Team News
Keith Andrews confirmed ahead of the game that Kevin Schade and Jannik Schuster could be in contention for Brentford on Saturday.
“Jannik and Kev have been on the grass this week and we’ll see what tomorrow brings in terms of how much they can do,” said Andrews.
“They are different types of injuries. This week, we’ve had to navigate through a few issues. Those two are some of those who are making their way back from injury. Overall, we’re in a really good place.”
But Mikkel Damsgaard and Nathan Collins are set to miss out again through injury, while Kaye Furo and Josh Dasilva remain more long-term issues.

Andoni Iraola was still uncertain about the availability of Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak when he held his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“It’s early for us to say, we have still tomorrow’s training,” said the former Bournemouth coach. “Obviously, they were not ready for last night [against LASK].
“We have to wait and see. I think it’s still very early but the same way I said they are not available for the previous games, I leave the chance open this time, yes.”
Iraola also shared a positive update on Conor Bradley, who is close to training on the grass for the first time since suffering a knee injury in January, Giovanni Leoni, however, is unlikely to feature this month, while Hugo Ekitike remains a longer-term issue.
Ryan Gravenberch is suspended after being sent off last week.

The Last Word: Match Prediction
Liverpool have struggled with physicality in recent years, so this clash against Brentford will be a test of the team’s progress under Iraola. It’s difficult to speak more highly of the job Andrews is doing at the Gtech and he’s turned Brentford into one of the most challenging opponents in the top flight. With Liverpool’s injury issues and given they have had less preparation time for the game, this could be another tough assignment.
Prediction: Brentford 3-1 Liverpool
