Morgan Rogers had plenty of praise for Chelsea teammate Joao Pedro in his latest interview. Rogers, Pedro and Cole Palmer have formed the Premier League’s most exciting front three so far this season, scoring 13 goals between them across six games.
Chelsea fans already knew Pedro and Palmer were exceptional talents, but Rogers has surprised many with his performances. The £117 million summer signing from Aston Villa has quickly silenced doubts over his transfer fee with a flying start to life at Stamford Bridge.
With Reece James injured AGAIN, is it time to strip him of the captaincy? 😕 If so, who are you giving it to?
No timeline has been given for his return…
James's injuries doesn't take away his leadership qualities. It would be unfair for anyone to think about permanently taking away the armband from him.

Jordan Henderson! There's a reason he keeps getting picked by top managers, so may as well use it!
Morgan Rogers explains how Joao Pedro has helped him thrive at Chelsea
While Morgan Rogers deserves plenty of credit for his excellent performances, the brilliance of Joao Pedro and his best friend, Cole Palmer, has surely helped him. The front three have created chances for each other under Xabi Alonso and have been remarkably clinical.
Rogers has been particularly impressed by Pedro’s goalscoring and work rate this season, which have helped him settle into Chelsea’s front three. The former Aston Villa man has quickly built a strong relationship with Pedro on the pitch, where they often interchange positions and link up in the final third.
“I think his hunger to score goals, his hunger to work for the team is massive,” Rogers told the Chelsea website. “Especially for me, where I play on the pitch, it really helps me loads. He always gives me an option. I can always play off him; he can play off me.
“I think he’s a massive part of us, not just scoring goals as well; he works so hard. The relentless running in the channel and working defensively as well for the team.
“He’s on top of his game right now and it’s really good for Chelsea that he’s doing so. It’s not all he’s focused on, but a lot of his focus is on getting goals, being in the box. He worked on it in training about arriving, getting in the box and scoring goals, and he’s been doing that every game since I’ve been here.”
Alex Scott could be available in January! If Chelsea sign him, what impact do you think he’ll make on the midfield?

Although I feel he would be good we do have Lavia and Barco to consider as well. Reece has another op so expect him to be out for a while and we do need a minimum of 4 in the middle for cover
Henderson is also really impressive in that position of compatriot with Caicedo at the moment Lavia and Barco are also very good compatriots with Caicedo So I think Chelsea actually need a very strong midfielder that can defend, block, tackle and supply accurate passes very well
Morgan Rogers opens up on his impressive start at Chelsea
Morgan Rogers has contributed four goals and four assists to Chelsea’s 23 goals in all competitions this season. The biggest compliment you can pay him is that fans and the media have barely mentioned his British-record transfer fee.
It has only been a few weeks, but Rogers has been performing at a world-class level. He has reflected on his fantastic start, which he will hope serves as a springboard to a long and successful Chelsea career.
“I’m feeling really good when I go out there, feeling really confident,” Rogers added. “The players and the staff allow me to be me, which is the most important thing, and I can just play my game and focus on that.
“I’ve still got improvements that I want to make in my game, but I’m happy with the start. I think the start’s the important thing, and you try and get fans on your side, try to get the players on your side, which is tough. So I’m glad that I can do that, but it’s just about moving forward with the team. It’s a long project and it’s going in the right direction.”
