Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has sparked concern surrounding the wellbeing of yet another member of his defensive ranks in the aftermath of the club’s victory over Real Betis.
Barca of course marked their return to action on Saturday evening, making the trip to La Cartuja for a La Liga meeting with in-form Betis.
When all was said and done in a hard-fought, action-packed affair, the visitors emerged 5-2 victors, to keep alive their flawless opening to the campaign.
Their eventual three-point haul, though, may well have come at a cost.
After Gerard Martín was forced off at the interval with a fitness problem, his replacement, Eric García, also limped to the bench in the game’s closing exchanges.
And speaking to the media post-match, Hansi Flick went on to reveal that a third member of his backline is now dealing with an unspecified issue, too:
“Jules Koundé is also suffering from some problems and discomfort.”
