Barcelona star João Cancelo reiterated his total commitment to wrestling back starter status in Hansi Flick’s backline on Saturday evening.
This came after the Portuguese was forced to watch on from the bench for the entirety of the Blaugrana’s latest outing.
Barca were of course back in action earlier this evening, making the trip to Seville for a La Liga meeting with Real Betis. When all was said and done, the visitors emerged on the right side of a 5-2 result.
Hansi Flick, though, opted for youngster Xavi Espart as his starting left-back at La Cartuja.
Espart has been favoured to the aforementioned Cancelo on the left of Barcelona’s backline for the majority of the campaign to date, with seven La Liga starts from a possible nine to his name.
As alluded to above, post-match on Saturday, Cancelo therefore made use of the opportunity to showcase his desire and commitment to the Blaugrana cause, in the pouring rain at La Cartuja:
