A former Jazzman is returning to the team

As the Utah Jazz work to finalize their roster in preparation to begin the 2026-27 season next Wednesday, they’re reportedly bringing back a familiar face.

On Saturday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Jazz are claiming center Tony Bradley off after he was recently waived by the New York Knicks, and the team formally announced the move a short time later.

> The Utah Jazz have claimed center Tony Bradley off free agency waivers, sources tell ESPN. Bradley was the Jazz's No. 28 pick in 2017 and now returns where he spent his first 3 NBA seasons.

The 6-foot-10, 248-pound Bradley appeared in 70 games for the Jazz over his first three seasons in the NBA after being drafted out of the University of North Carolina.

He has been a journeyman since, playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks, as well as a few NBA G League teams.

This offseason he joined the NBA champion New York Knicks but was waived this week alongside fellow former Jazzmen Drew Eubanks and Ochai Agbaji.

Not only does Utah have room on its roster, but there has been a prevailing thought that management might specifically look for a center before the season given that Jusuf Nurkic is dealing with an injury and Jaxson Hayes and Mo Bamba are otherwise the only traditional centers on the roster.
