Extended action from City's exciting 3-2 Premier League win over Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium.
The Blues maintained our position at the top thanks to a seventh win in a row to start the campaign, seeing Enzo Maresca set a Premier League recordin the process.
Phil Foden’s first-time finish handed us an early advantage, but the visitors responded soon after through Daizen Maeda’s effort on the counter attack.
City continued to press forward though and eventually regained our lead through an Erling Haaland header as half-time approached.
The Norwegian stole a yard in the Ipswich area and rose highest to meet Mateo Kovačić’s cross from the right to put us ahead before the break.
WIN A SIGNED PHIL FODEN SHIRT
And our number nine would find the net again to put some daylight between the sides with around 20 to play, picking up play from Iliman Ndiaye before firing back across goal to make it 3-1.
Haaland thought he’d grabbed a hat-trick late on when smashing home from close-range, but the offside flag cut his and City’s celebrations short, with Ndiaye also striking the woodwork.
There would be time for one more goal in an entertaining clash, but it’d go to the visitors, with Zian Flemming converting from the spot to set up a grandstand finish at the Etihad Stadium.
But City held firm to continue our 100% start to the season.
