Emi Martinez has given an update on social media after undergoing surgery on his jaw following a brutal collision with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite in Chelsea's 2-0 win over the Toffees.
Martinez sustained the injury in a horrific clash of heads with Jarrad Branthwaite when the Everton defender launched himself towards the ball while attempting to connect with a cross.
Both players were left sprawled on the turf as the match was halted for more than 10 minutes while Martinez received treatment.

Chelsea players instantly signalled for medical help, with Levi Colwill spotted with his hands on his head after witnessing the collision.
Martinez was ultimately carried from the pitch on a stretcher and could be seen moving as he departed the field, with his hands positioned at the side of his head.
On a message shared on Instagram, accompanying a selfie from his hospital bed, Martinez said: "Thanks to everyone for the messages, the operation went well.
"The most important thing is that we won and with a bow at 0. We'll be back in a few weeks."

According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Martinez passed most examinations without concern, with his head, back and neck all checked before heading to hospital.
Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso revealed that Martinez was conscious when he departed the stadium earlier in the day.
"It was a concussion, but beyond that I do not know," he said speaking after the game. "I have only seen one clip of the incident, so we need to wait.
"What we know is that he left the stadium conscious and is now in hospital undergoing precautionary tests.
"We need to wait. Hopefully it will not be too serious, but at the moment we just have to wait."
