NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Titans get their first win of the season and it comes in a building they’ve not had success in since 2022.

The Titans beat the Colts 26-20 in Lucas Oil Stadium and in the process snap a five-game winless streak in 2026. It’s the first win in the AFC South division for the Titans since 2024.

For the first time this season, the Titans played complementary football.

The defense sacked Colts quarterback Daniel Jones six times and forced three turnovers.

For the first time since 2011, the Titans blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. Julius Chestnut got the block and Femi Oladejo scooped and scored.

Offensively, rookie receiver Carnell Tate scored his first NFL touchdown.

Cam Ward completed just 11 passes for 102 yards and threw one interception, but it was enough to get it done.

The Titans improve to 1-5 and return home to play Cleveland October 25th.

**Earlier:** The Tennessee Titans will try to break a four-year losing streak when they travel to Indianapolis this weekend.

The Titans haven’t won a road game against the Colts since 2022.

This current Titans team is 0-5 for the first time since 2009.

In offensive coordinator Brian Daboll’s first year calling the plays for the team, the Titans offense is the worst in the NFL both in total yards and points scored.

Cam Ward has shown inconsistency so far this season running the new offense. In last week’s 26-3 loss to the Texans, Ward was sacked four times. The Titans offensive line must hold up better this week against DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart and company on that Colts defensive front.

Also, a big key to the game will be containing Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. He’s run roughshod over the Titans defense in the last three meetings, Taylor has rolled up 473 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Is this the week the Titans break through? We’re going to find out. The Titans and Colts kick-off at 12 p.m.
