Defense turns into offense, Packers dominate Cowboys 17-0 at halftime

ARLINGTON, Texas (WSAW) - Stacking wins- that’s what the Packers have set out to do all season, and that won’t change on Sunday Night Football against the Cowboys. On the hunt to protect a three-game win streak this season and a six-game head-to-head win streak against Dallas.

The Packers offense strikes first, stringing together two two-plus-yard pass plays. The first, by Christian Watson, good for 27 yards. Then the second by Matthew Golden, 37 yards down the field, called back by two Packers penalties. However, Golden makes it up with a 9-yard touchdown pass thrown by Jordan Love to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead.

Love throws an interception on the next drive, but complementary football will bring the Packers right back to the scoreboard. The defense puts all the pressure on Dak Prescott, hit by Zaire Franklin, then, on the next play, intercepted by Evan Williams.

However, Green Bay has to settle for a field goal chipped in by Trey Smack from the 25-yard line, Packers lead 10-0.

As the first half winds down, Green Bay’s defense riles up; Brandon Cisse forces another Prescott interception at the 2-minute warning for the first half.

With one minute left in the second quarter, Love and his offense get a boost from a 37-yard pass-interference penalty against Dallas, moving the chains to Green Bay’s 36-yard line. Another Cowboys pass interference penalty places the Packers on the one-yard line. Love takes it from there, barreling into the end zone for another Packers touchdown.

Green Bay leads 17-0 at halftime.
