Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has mocked Manchester City, saying that Erling Haaland will leave the club soon. He believes the striker will ask for a transfer if the club is relegated from the Premier League after the sanctions.

Manchester City were full of praise for Haaland after his brace against Ipswich Town at home in the Premier League. Morgan was not too happy with the social media praise and quickly sent a strong message to the Cityzens.

The Arsenal fan posted that he would leave once they are sanctioned for 'cheating' the Premier League and said:

"Try ‘goodbye’ for when he leaves after you’re relegated for a decade of cheating."

However, Haaland's comments after the Premier League's guilty verdict suggested that he still had confidence in the management and was not thinking of a move away. He sent a message to the fans ahead of the Liverpool game this month and said:

“We have to stick together. We have to stay with each other, and we have to stay positive. No matter what happens in life, we always have to have a smile. We have to stay positive, look ahead and try to win football games and try to enjoy the situation and win the game. We have to stick together, and we have to spread the love to each other. So yeah, stick together, enjoy the ride and smile.”

Haaland has been at Manchester City since 2022 and has scored 174 goals in 208 matches. He has scored six of those goals against Arsenal in eight appearances.

Arsenal told to sign Erling Haaland by pundit

Arsenal have been urged to sign Erling Haaland by talkSPORT host Adrian Durham. He believes that the Gunners need an elite striker to lead the attack, and the Manchester City star would be the ideal player.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Durham claimed that the Norwegian should be the first target for Arsenal if Manchester City get relegated and said:

"I was thinking to myself, just imagine Man City get relegated to the North West Counties Premier Division. And all those players want to leave. Would any of those players get into the PSG side? I couldn’t really think of too many."

"Then, I thought Erling Haaland would get into any side in the world, his goal rate is phenomenal, and then an idea struck me, Arsenal in January should go for Erling Haaland. The reason is this… they've been dilly-dallying about, showing a bit of pity on Kai Havertz, saying he works hard, when he really isn't that elite level striker that they want."

Manchester City are still waiting for the news on their appeal, after the Premier League found them guilty on all serious charges.
