Arsenal are among the clubs reportedly monitoring Liverpool wonderkid Rio Ngumoha, and the Gunners could be encouraged by the fact that the young attacker has yet to sign a new long-term contract with the Merseyside club.
Liverpool are keen to secure his future after rejecting approaches from Bayern Munich for his signature in the summer. Discussions have been ongoing for months, but there has yet to be a breakthrough, leaving the club keen to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
Liverpool work to secure Ngumoha’s future
The Reds view Ngumoha as an important part of their long-term plans and are determined to keep him at the club. They have invested time in his development and believe he has the potential to become a significant player for the team in the coming years.
Despite the ongoing contract discussions, Ngumoha appears settled at Liverpool and remains focused on his football. The club are confident that an agreement can eventually be reached, although the lack of a signed deal leaves uncertainty surrounding his future.
Liverpool will be aware that interest from rival clubs could complicate negotiations. Arsenal are among the sides linked with the youngster, and the prospect of losing a promising talent to a direct competitor would be an unwelcome outcome for the Reds.
The club’s priority will be to reach an agreement that satisfies all parties and provides clarity over the attacker’s future. Until that happens, speculation over his next move is likely to continue.

Ngumoha provides an update on negotiations
Ngumoha has now offered an insight into the ongoing discussions, although his comments suggest that his agent is handling the contractual side while he concentrates on performing on the pitch.
Speaking via TalkSport, the Liverpool youngster explained that he was not directly involved in every detail of the negotiations and remained focused on his football.
“It’s all with my agent now. I think it is all going well. I am not too sure.
“I just let the football do the talking, I enjoy playing and all of that is in the back of my mind. I just play for Liverpool and hopefully I can carry on doing well.”
His comments indicate that he is leaving the negotiations in the hands of his representative while continuing to enjoy his time at Liverpool. However, they do not confirm that a new contract is close to being completed.
For Liverpool, securing Ngumoha’s future remains an important objective, particularly with interest from other clubs. Arsenal and other potential suitors will be watching the situation, but the immediate focus remains on whether the Reds can persuade the youngster to commit to a longer stay.
