Steve Kerr addressed the status of Steph Curry, revealed Podziemski injury

The Golden State Warriors had a health scare with Stephen Curry recently and have since provided an update on his condition ahead of their season opener.

Head coach Steve Kerr talked about Curry's status after his ankle injury suffered during a team scrimmage.

He revealed that Curry practiced fully and is ready to go for the Warriors first match of the season on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Stephen Curry appeared to have slipped and tweaked his right ankle while dribbling during the Dubs' team scrimmage on Sunday. He subsequently left the floor and was seen limping as he entered the locker room.

Kerr also revealed that another Warriors guard, Brandin Podziemski is dealing with health issues as he did not participate in practice due to lower back soreness and is questionable for the game against the Lakers.

This injury news arrives after the guard recently secured his long-term future in the Bay Area since inking a lucrative five-year, $110 million rookie-scale extension with the Warriors.

The massive payday comes on the heels of a stellar breakout campaign where Podziemski proved his durability and versatility. He was the lone player on Golden State's roster, and one of just 18 players league-wide, to log minutes in all 82 games during the 2025-26 regular season.
