Kawhi Leonard is known as one of the most injury-prone players in the NBA, having missed hundreds of games in his career.

Leonard offered his perspective on the latest Ben Simmons Achilles tear, which shook the league just when the Australian player was getting ready to make his NBA comeback.

The newest Toronto Raptors player found out the news from the media who were interviewing him.

"Oh, I didn't know that. Oh, damn, man, that's sad," Leonard reacted to the news.

"You know, he has another year. He's still in his young thirties, I believe, or not thirty yet, I'm not sure, but yeah, just God bless him, hope he stays strong and just keep grinding. If he locks in, you know, in this 2026 you could be able to come back from Achilles injury. So, like I said, God bless him and hope he has a strong recovery."

Simmons returned to the NBA after skipping the whole 2025-26 season to redeem himself and rest from injuries. He signed a one-year deal with the Sacramento Kings after impressing them in his team workout last offseason.
