One of the most exciting matches of Bayern Munich’s entire season is coming up. Vincent Kompany’s side will take on Arsenal in their first meeting since the Gunners beat Bayern at the same stage of the Champions League last season.
While it is by no means a “must-win” match, it feels like Bayern Munich has a lot to prove after a disappointing result in last season’s competition, and they will want to show the world that they are among the favorites to win the coveted UCL trophy.
There are many German internationals expected to play, and Jonathan Tah is one of those looking forward to potentially facing his friend and national teammate Kai Havertz.
“Kai is my friend of ten years. Great character, amazing player, a player who is still underestimated, to be fair. I don’t think he gets the appreciation he deserves. We already talked about the game. I’m really looking forward to it,” Jonathan Tah told Times journalist Jonathan Northcroft on facing Havertz, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.
As good of friends as they might be, there will be no friendliness on the pitch on Wednesday as Bayern Munich look to take down Arsenal when the Gunners visit the Allianz Arena.
