**JACKSONVILLE** – [Liam Coen](https://www.jaguars.com/team/coaches-roster/liam-coen) likes a lot about what he's seeing.
That wasn't true about everything this past Sunday, particularly at game's end, but the second-year head coach said it's absolutely the case when it comes to how he feels about the Jaguars entering their 2026 Week 7 bye week.
The Jaguars are alone in first place, and Coen likes their direction.
> "I have a lot of confidence in this football team," Coen said Monday.
Coen, speaking a day after the Jaguars' 34-31 loss to the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium in London, discussed multiple topics – including his assessment of Jaguars quarterback [Trevor Lawrence](/team/players-roster/trevor-lawrence/) thus far this season.
> "Six games in, I've been very pleased with Trevor Lawrence," he said.
Lawrence, after finishing fifth in NFL Most Valuable Players balloting last season, has 14 touchdown passes with four interceptions this season. He completed 24 of 41 passes for 306 yards and four touchdowns with one interception Sunday.
> "Trevor gives me so much confidence on a weekly basis as a play-caller," Coen said. "The way he's seeing it right now and playing, I'm very excited about this football team."
