Los Angeles Rams Superstar Out 6-10 Weeks After Week 6 Injury vs. Arizona Cardinals 1

The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the bigger disappointments in the first third of the NFL season. After lofty expectations, they have begun the year 2-4 and are struggling to find signs of positivity after being upset at home against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. They have been dealing with the injury bug, and one of their significant playmakers is going to miss extended time after suffering an injury. Let’s take a closer look at who it is and what it means for the Los Angeles Rams going forward.

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay announced on Monday that veteran wide receiver Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring and will be out for 6-10 weeks. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that Adams is undergoing a procedure to repair the injury with Dr Neal ElAttrache. Adams is hopeful to return closer to the six-week timeframe, but it all depends on how he heals.

Below are the next 10 weeks for the Los Angeles Rams, just to give an indication of the potential games Adams may miss:

Week 7: at Las Vegas Raiders

Week 8: vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Week 9: at Washington Commanders

Week 10: at Arizona Cardinals

Week 11: Bye

Week 12: vs. Green Bay Packers

Week 13: vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Week 14: at San Francisco 49ers

Week 15: vs. Dallas Cowboys

Week 16: at Seattle Seahawks

Adams has been a significant threat in the passing game for the Rams this season. In six games (five starts), he has 30 receptions on 49 targets for 480 yards (16.0 yards per catch) and four receiving touchdowns. This could also be a serious concern in terms of his next contract as he is a free agent this offseason and will be entering his age-35 season.

For the team, they still have one of the best wide receivers in the league on the roster in Puka Nacua, but the loss of Adams will be major, especially in the red zone. It will be interesting to see how the Los Angeles Rams look without Davante Adams going forward.
