Bayern Munich and Arsenal will trade tackles in the marquee fixture of matchday three in the League Phase of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday (October 21st). The game will be played at Allianz Arena.
The home side will be buzzing from the comprehensive 6-1 walloping they handed to RB Leipzig at the same venue in the Bundesliga over the weekend. They were 3-0 up at the break, with Luis Diaz, Aleksandar Pavlovic, and Michael Olise scoring a goal each. Diaz completed his hat-trick in the second half, with his goals coming on either side of Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet in the 53rd minute. Andrija Maksimovic scored a consolation strike in injury time.
Arsenal, meanwhile, claimed maximum points with a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Nottingham Forest. Noni Madueke stepped off the bench to settle the contest with 10 minutes to go.
The Gunners will shift focus to the continent, where their last game saw them secure a 3-0 home win over Lille. Bayern were held to a shock 3-3 draw away to Viking.

Furthermore, the Bavarians are unbeaten in six home games against English sides (five wins).
