'No problem for Saturday' - Roberto De Zerbi Confirms Tottenham Duo Will Be Available vs…

Tottenham are dealing with a quite extensive injury list, but Chelsea will also be without some key players for Saturday's derby.

Roberto De Zerbi confirmed Tosin Adarabioyo and Andy Robertson would be available to face Chelsea on Saturday despite injury scares during Monday’s win over Coventry City.

Tottenham Hotspur earned their first Premier League win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Frank Lampard’s Coventry on Monday night.

They will now have to shift their attention to the upcoming London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where they have not won in almost a decade since January 2017.

If they are to have any hopes of coming out with at least a point against the Chelsea side, who have won back-to-back matches since the international break, the Spurs will likely need all the firepower they can get.

Former Blue Adarabioyo and Robertson, who were substituted off in the second half against Coventry due to apparent injuries, are expected to be fine for the weekend’s battle.

“No, nothing important, I think,” De Zerbi told Spurs’ in-house media in a post-match interview when asked about the defender duo’s injury situations.

“Tosin and Robertson, small problems. They have no problem for Saturday.”

Tottenham have a quite extensive injury list, so these two’s expected availability against Chelsea should only help make the derby even more interesting.

Several players, such as on-loan Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk (ankle), Wilson Odobert (ACL), Xavi Simons (ACL), Lucas Bergvall (knee), and Savio (muscle), are expected to remain out, but a couple from the injury list could make their return this weekend.

Destiny Udogie, who was absent against Coventry with a recent knee issue, and Pedro Porro (hamstring) will hope to be involved against Chelsea.

Chelsea will be without a few key players, too

The Blues’ injury list is shorter than that of the north London side. Still, team captain Reece James (knee), first-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (jaw), and young winger Jamie Gittens (ankle) will not be available to face Spurs.

A recent report from Argentina claims that Martinez may be out for a couple of months after a successful jaw surgery.

There remains uncertainty over Pep Chavarria’s fitness situation as well. The left-back sustained an injury in training and was left out of Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

Malo Gusto was also absent due to illness, but he is expected to be back in training soon.

Xabi Alonso recently revealed that summer signing Emmanuel Emegha is still not 100 per cent fit after struggling with hamstring issues since pre-season.

The striker is the only summer signing yet to make an official Chelsea debut. As it stands, he is clearly behind Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order, so Alonso has not been able to make space for him, even on the bench, since the Carabao Cup win over Luton Town in late August.
