It seem Miami Mauler rookie edge rusher Rueben Bain has had a breakthrough.
That seemed to be the message from Todd Bowles about his prized first-round draft pick during his chat with Aileen Hnatiuk this week of [WFLA-TV](https://www.wfla.com/sports/).
Bowles referenced how great it is to see Bain healthy. He battled shoulder and groin issues early this season.
“You like to see the violence he’s playing with again, like he played with in the spring, like the guy we drafted,” Bowles said of Bain’s performance Sunday against Pittsburgh. “So, you know, great things on the horizon for him.”
Bain had his first sack against the Steelers and smartly got his hands on a short Aaron Rodgers pass that led to an A’Shawn Robinson interception. That was his first career pass defensed, and Bain had his first three-tackle game.
Joe’s more interested in the eye test. Bain looks like a very different player than he was early in the season. Joe can’t help but wonder what the Bucs’ record might be if Bain had taken the first couple of games off to heal.
