Villarreal scored a shock goal inside of five minutes after Virgil Van Dijk misplayed a header. The visitors also seemed the first to every loose ball in the early going. Liverpool finally settled into some possession, but nothing came of it. Rio Ngumoha forced a save with a nice individual effort in the 21st minute as the Reds continued to grow in the game
He also drew a yellow card later in the half, but the Yellow Submarines passes picked apart Liverpool, and it led to a second goal in the 29th minute. Liverpool pulled a goal back in the 37th minute when Alexis Mac Allister headed home a corner from Kostas Tsimikas to make the tally 2-1. Alisson kept the scoreline the same with a save late in the half, and Ronald Arujo tied the game on the last action of the half with a header as the match was tied at 2-2

LFC Globe Verdict
Liverpool played much better in the final 15 minutes of the first half after a disastrous start. Thanks to a pair of late goals, the Reds are in a prime position to grab all three points after being down 2-0.
