Premier League champions Arsenal will hope to extend their perfect start to the Champions League group phase when they face Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side have beaten both Napoli and Lille in the competition so far and currently sit eighth in the 36-team group phase table, although a convincing win in Bavaria on Wednesday could move them as high as first place.

Bayern will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the Gunners, though, with Vincent Kompany’s side having reached the semi-finals of the competition last term before being beaten by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane boasted an impressive record against Arsenal during his time in north London, and the England captain has scored more than 50 goals so far in 2026 for club and country.

Ahead of Wednesday’s showpiece, it appears that Arsenal have put a hefty price tag on one of their in-demand players.

As reported by CaughtOffside, the Gunners would demand a fee in excess of £80 million to allow full-back Riccardo Calafiori to leave The Emirates.

The report suggests that the Italy international has emerged as a potential target for Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants seemingly eyeing a possible move for the player as they look to bolster Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Calafiori, 24, joined Arsenal from Serie A side Bologna in 2024 and has since established himself as an important part of Arteta’s squad.

In total the defender has made more than 70 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions since arriving in the capital, and he played an important role as the Gunners cruised to the Premier League title last term.

According to the report, however, Real have previously been in contact with Calafiori’s representatives in an effort to assess whether or not a deal could be agreed.
