Arsenal and Manchester United are both reportedly considering January moves for Bournemouth striker Evanilson.
Both clubs are keen to add to their centre-forward options in the winter window and have made initial contact for Evanilson, via intermediaries.
Arsenal are searching for an alternative to Kai Havertz, amid uncertainty surrounding Viktor Gyokeres’ future. The Swedish striker has not started a Premier League game this season, totalling only 80 minutes across four substitute outings.
Gyokeres has been linked with a January exit and Fussball News claim Evanilson has been earmarked as a potential replacement.
However, Arsenal could face competition from Manchester United. Benjamin Sesko’s ongoing injury issues have left the Red Devils without a recognised number nine, and the club are planning to continue pursuing talent with Premier League experience, after deals for Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos in the summer.
Bournemouth are understood to value Evanilson at around €65m (£54.4m). The Brazil international has started the season in good form and has two goals and four assists in seven Premier League games. He’s netted 18 times in 74 league games since arriving at Bournemouth from FC Porto.
