Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany is struggling with a viral infection the day before their Champions League game with Arsenal.

The Bayern boss will miss today's open training session and pre-match press conference, with the German champions saying he is "taking it easy" due to his illness.

Bayern will take on the Premier League champions having already lost star attacker Michael Olise to suspension after his red card against Viking last week.

Zubimendi fit for Bayern Munich game

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Martin Zubimendi will be fit to feature for the Gunners in their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

Zubimendi was an used substitute against both Leeds and Nottingham Forest, but missed last week's Champions League tie with Lille after sustaining an injury colliding with Piero Hincapie during a cool down session following the win over Daniel Farke's side.

While Hincapie will not be fit to return against the German champions, he did say Zubimendi was fit to play a part.

"Zubi is back with us. He trained with us so he is available tomorrow," Arteta said in his pre-match press conference.

"Piero, let's see. If he trains over the next days, he might be available for Everton which is great news."

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Sky Sports' digital coverage of Bayern Munich vs Arsenal in the Champions League.

The headlines write themselves for this one. Harry Kane hosts a familiar foe in the Gunners, who are looking to maintain their 100 per cent record in the league phase so far.

Bayern were held to a 3-3 draw against Viking in their last outing, while Arsenal beat Lille 3-0.

Mikel Arteta's side are yet to concede a goal in the competition but Kane could be the man to end that, after scoring 15 goals in 22 appearances against Arsenal throughout his career.

This is going to be a good one. Stay tuned for team news, live updates, analysis and our full match report after the game.
