Duo returns to Arsenal XI as Arteta makes major Eberechi Eze decision v Bayern Munich

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly dropped Eberechi Eze to the bench for tonight’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich.

Eze started against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday but was taken off at half-time for Noni Madueke.

Madueke helped the Gunners to the 1-0 victory with a wonder strike and has earned himself a starting spot for tonight’s game as the Emirates Stadium club look to secure a win in Germany.

Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori, Bruno Guimaraes and Kai Havertz are also starting for Arsenal tonight.

The Gunners have won their opening two games of the Champions League league phase and will be eager to get another victory tonight.

Bayern are one of the bigwigs in Europe and in the competition, and Arsenal have a fierce test on their hands.

They will be facing Harry Kane, and Arteta will fancy his defence’s chances of keeping the England international hitman at bay.

The 33-year-old has 13 goals and seven assists in his last 11 games for club and country and could prove to be a handful tonight.

An exciting match is on the cards, and the Gunners have to make a statement of intent with their performance.

They lost to Paris Saint-Germain in last season’s final of the elite European competition and are desperate to go one better this season.
