Kristaps Porzingis has been dealing with a mysterious illness and has been away from the Golden State Warriors with a new report revealing more details about his situation and future with the team.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Warriors have started looking for ways to trade Porzingis, who is unsure about his future in basketball in general, as he is dealing with recurring symptoms of the condition that has bothered him before.
"Golden State has started exploring trade routes for Kristaps Porzingis, who is now seriously contemplating his future in basketball as he deals with recurring symptoms from the autoimmune condition termed as POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), sources tell ESPN," Charania wrote.

Charania reveals that Porzingis' contract offers a lot of flexibility for the Warriors, but if the center doesn't get better there is possibility of retirement.
"Porzingis is on a trade-flexible contract for $20 million this season and a small partial next year, serving as essentially an expiring deal that the Warriors can utilize, potentially with their pool of assets," Charania wrote.
"He first revealed his POTS diagnosis last year and has had ups and downs with the issue. If there is no breakthrough in recovery, stepping away from basketball – for good – is possible."
