Speaking ahead of Bayer Leverkusen’s UEFA Europa League clash against OFI Crete on Thursday, Jarell Quansah dodged questions about his future, amid interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

“I just have to concentrate on playing this season,” he explained. “I’m playing as many games as possible and trying to improve – I can’t do more than that.”

According to Sky Germany, Liverpool hold a reported €70m buy-back clause for the Englishman, which will become active in 2027 after the €70m option expired. However, the Reds also face competition from Arsenal, who have been without William Saliba this season due to a back injury – which has kept him out since the end of France’s World Cup campaign – and Real Madrid.

Holding a market value of €50m, per Transfermarkt, Quansah has featured in eight of Leverkusen’s nine games across all competitions this season, starting five of them.
