The Philadelphia 76ers put on an impressive opening night performance and are already looking like they will be a serious force to reckon with this season.
They defeated the defending champion New York Knicks with a complete team effort, making an early statement about its potential.
The 76ers' performance caught the attention of plenty of people around the league, including Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony.
Speaking on the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Anthony suggested that if Philadelphia can put everything together this early in the season, the rest of the Eastern Conference could be in serious trouble.
Is it gonna take till January, till February? But id that sh*t clicks in November... the East is in trouble," Anthony stated.

Anthony believes the 76ers have all the tools to be a dominant team, with capable shooters surrounding their stars.
He also believes this is Tyrese Maxey's team this season given the way he's been playing so far.
"I wasn't watching like the shooting and all of that like they don't need shooters. They got capable shooters, Caldwell-Pope is a vet. Capable lights out, you know, to knock down the three consistently," he said. "Anfernee Simons get hot. Right? Maxey can shoot the three. Bron going to get stronger as the season goes on as far as like the game. You know what I mean? He gonna start making threes. Joel looks in great shape right now. And it's very clear who team it is. It's Maxey's team let's not even think about this."
