Allan, 22, joined City from Palmeiras at the end of August on a five-year contract running to summer 2031, in a deal announced at €40 million (around £34 million).
The forward arrived as part of the summer rebuild under Enzo Maresca, who took charge in June as the successor to Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City beat AEK Athens 5-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with Phil Foden scoring a hat-trick and Elliot Anderson and Rayan Cherki also getting in on the act.
Allan was part of the starting line-up for the fixture, which followed a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad Stadium six days earlier.
The match was played against the backdrop of an independent commission's guilty verdict on 114 of 115 charges, published on 29 September, and the club's comprehensive appeal lodged at 7pm on 1 October.
The sanctions phase has not yet begun, and sources suggest full resolution of the case may not arrive until 2028 or 2029, with the club maintaining its innocence throughout.
I'll give him as many minutes as I can, says Maresca on Allan
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, in comments relayed by City Xtra Português, Maresca was asked about Allan and said: "He did very well and I'm happy for him. I'm trying to help him adapt.
"It's not easy to come from Brazil and compete with the players in this squad. I'll give him as many minutes as I can, and little by little, he'll play more."
During the game, Allan struck the crossbar from a tight angle on the left and played a pass across the penalty area that no Manchester City player was able to convert.
He was involved in the attacking play throughout the match as Maresca's side recovered from the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Allan's move from Palmeiras and Man City's summer rebuild
Allan signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium running to summer 2031, becoming one of several players recruited by director of football Hugo Viana during the recent window.
The winger arrived after Savinho left Manchester City for Tottenham in a deal worth £85 million, with the Brazilian winger moving to north London during the same transfer window.
The summer also brought in Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million, alongside Ayyoub Bouaddi, Iliman Ndiaye, Enzo Fernandez, Geronimo Rulli and Jeremy Monga.
Maresca's reference to the move from Brazil relates to Allan's transfer from Palmeiras, where he played in the Brazilian top flight before joining a Premier League squad that has changed considerably since Guardiola's departure.
Rodri left for Barcelona during the window, while Bernardo Silva joined Real Madrid on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City. Tijjani Reijnders and Nico Gonzalez also left for AL Qadsiah and Newcastle United respectively.
Manchester City travel to face Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday in search of an eighth successive win to start the domestic campaign.
