The FOX Sports reporter, 48, explained to her co-host, Charissa Thompson, of their Calm Down podcast why she couldn’t stop smiling while interviewing Josh Allen following her recent sit-down with the Buffalo Bills quarterback that aired on FOX NFL Sunday on Oct. 18.
“What a dream,” Andrews recalled of her conversation with Allen on the episode released Wednesday, Oct. 21. “Can I just say, you and I always talk about how fortunate we are with these guys giving us their time, but it was a week that he was away with his team. They were kind of treating it like a training camp vibe, breaking bread as he would say, going out.”

The interview dropped a week after Allen, 30, led the Bills to a thrilling victory against the Los Angeles Rams in overtime at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. on Monday, Oct. 12. The game was major for the quarterback, who secured the first-ever overtime win of his career after nine seasons in the league.
“The fact that they came out, they came off the win versus L.A. and they were going to hunker down and go over some things here heading into Week 6, and he was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do the sit down’. Come on, Josh Allen. You are so sweet,” Andrews said. “I was so appreciative ... and I really am grateful for that.”
Then, Andrews — who’s been interviewing Allen for years — praised the NFL star for his charm, noting how he always makes her smile while they converse.
“How do you not like him? I just smile,” she said. “My botox is gone when I listen to him because I’m smiling so hard my face hurts. He’s so just absolutely so wonderful to be around. I was going to say adorable, but I can see the headline. ‘Erin Andrews calls Josh Allen adorable’, but he’s adorable.”

“I am the most blessed indiviual on the planet, that’s how I feel. I have an amazing wife, an amazing family, an amazing baby. There’s not much about my life that I would change,” he said during their FOX Sports interview, per a teaser clip shared on Instagram.
Allen married wife Hailee Steinfeld in May 2025 and they welcomed their first baby, daughter Harper Haize Allen, in April. The Oscar-nominated actress made a rare public appearance at her husband’s game, cheering him on during his victorious overtime matchup.

As seen in a video shared by the NFL on Instagram, Steinfeld, 29, was seen hyping up Allen from a suite inside the stadium.
“Go Josh! Let’s go Josh! Let’s f--king go!” she appeared to be yelling from the stands as her husband made a clutch scramble, rushing 15 yards straight up the middle to get to the Rams’ 5-yard line in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter.
A proud Steinfeld — who showed her team spirit wearing a red Bills jacket — was seen smiling and clapping after the pivotal play. It was a rare public appearance for the actress, who typically attends her husband’s games but goes unseen to the TV cameras.
After the win, the Bills quarterback opened up about his first-ever overtime success. “It’s the first OT that I’ve got, so this feels good being on this side [of a win],” Allen said after previously going 0-7 in overtime games.
